The Decline of Democracy and How to Preserve it
Through this course, you will get the toolbox to understand how to make a real difference and with whom to collaborate. We will approach the discussion of protecting our democracies with both theoretical curiosity and practical exploration, asking ourselves what are the things we cannot afford to lose and how to protect them from the changes that the 21st century will bring.
Backdrop: The Perfect Storm of AI, Climate Change and Authoritarian Propaganda
Since 2007 the number of democracies in the world has consistently declined. The world as we know it is in upheaval, and authoritarian forces are gaining momentum both left and right. But why are our moral values and world views transforming so rapidly? And why does rapidly increasing climate change and the introduction of AI accelerate this development?

Testimonials
I’m falling up. I am bombarded with new thoughts, stories, quite unexpected viewpoints and experiences. This is called Nordic Bildung Future Academy, and I really love the way this unusual program is constructed and run: without fears, with plenty of jokes and good humor, and high-level thinking. This is true learning—making me feel like my mind is actually expanding. It really is: UP!
